What’s the difference between hiring you and going to a marketing agency?
When you work with Velaris Marketing, you’re working directly with me, Chris, throughout. You get 15+ years of hands-on and strategic experience applied directly to your business, without the agency overheads built into the price. For larger projects I work with a trusted network of fellow freelance specialists, who you’ll be introduced to from the start and like me, they all care about the clients they support. For SMEs who want someone genuinely invested in their results, that usually makes a big difference.
What kinds of businesses do you work best with?
I work predominantly with SMEs across Surrey, Hampshire and the surrounding areas, from small family-run businesses to larger regional companies. The clients I get the best results for are those who know they need better marketing but don’t have the in-house resource or expertise to make it happen consistently. If you’re serious about growth and want someone who’ll crack on rather than just hand over a strategy document, we’ll probably get on well.
How much do your services cost?
Every project is different, so I don’t publish a fixed price list, but I’m always transparent about costs upfront, with no hidden extras. One-off projects are scoped and priced before any work begins. Retained packages are based on the hours and services that make sense for your goals and budget. The best starting point is a free, no-obligation intro call where we can talk through what you need and what a realistic investment looks like.
Do I need to commit to a long-term contract?
Not necessarily. I work on both one-off project and monthly retainer bases depending on what suits you. If you’re not sure where to start, a single project or a Straight-Talk Strategy Session is a great low-commitment first step to see how we work together, with no obligation to continue beyond that.
What happens after I fill in the contact form?
I’ll be in touch within 24 hours to arrange a free intro call, usually around 30 minutes. It’s a relaxed conversation where I’ll ask a few questions about your business and what you’re hoping to achieve. I’m not a salesman, so there’s no hard sell to worry about and it’s a great chance to see if we’re a good fit and figure out what might actually help.
